What seek ye? – The Fix-it Shop-Filling Station

What seek ye?

What is your desire? What are your hopes? What are your dreams? What is it you seek?

Is it money, power or love? Is it peace, prosperity or purpose?

We are all seeking something, it’s elusive, it’s something we just cannot see,  something that we desperately need. It is something we do not understand.

It is the intimate personal knowledge that God is alive and wants to dwell within us. It is the knowledge that the living God who loves and cares for us, is waiting to be asked into our lives.

He longs to guide direct and protect us,  by the power of his Holy Spirit.  Who will teach us, comfort us and allow us to understand God’s love.

Jesus in John chapter 1,  asks disciples of John the Baptist, “What seek ye?”

They answered with a question. Where do you live? After spending a day with Jesus,  Andrew went and brought his brother, Simeon who became Peter the rock after meeting the Lord.

Meeting the Lord…New name, new heart, new desires.

New direction, instead of wandering the road to eternal death, you begin the pathway of eternal life.

Sometimes the path is easy and pleasant. Other times it is rocky, difficult, thankless and seems pointless.

If you allow your troubles to draw you closer to God, you will be victorious in the end.

I have had times when I seem to be sitting on the lap of my heavenly Father. Other times He seems miles away.

In every situation I need to cling to His promise, “To never leave or forsake us. ”

He is:
   *  The Rock of ages
   *  A very present help in times of trouble
   *  A friend who is closer than a brother
   *  The light in my darkness, the hope of my soul
   *  Everything I need,want or desire

What do i seek?
JESUS.  How about you?

Thanks for visiting.
